Troubleshooting scheduled posts

Schedule auto posts sends to the accounts you connected. A missed post is not sent again for that same time. The next attempt is the next day and time on the schedule.

Why a scheduled post can miss

  • The social account is not connected for this Upsyte, or the connection expired. Meta, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Pinterest each need their own connection. A missing account comes back as no connected account for that platform.
  • Meta is connected, but posting permission was not granted. The schedule then reports that Meta has not granted the publish permission.
  • The schedule uses an existing Highlight image, and no Highlight has an image. That run is skipped. It is not tried again until the next scheduled time.
  • TikTok cannot be a schedule target. Auto posts go to Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Pinterest.
  • The Upsyte for that schedule can no longer be loaded. That run stops.

What happens after a failure

The scheduler claims the run first and moves the next time forward before it posts. If that run fails or is skipped, it does not go back and retry the same slot. There is no separate screen that lists failed auto posts. An AI article schedule is different: if you run one and the job fails, a banner shows the error.

What to check

  1. Open the published Upsyte, then Analytics, then Social. Confirm the account you scheduled is still connected.
  2. For Facebook or Instagram, use Reconnect Meta if the button says reconnect, or if Pages and publish permission need to be granted again. For TikTok stats or imports, use Reconnect TikTok. TikTok reconnect does not make TikTok a place Upsyte can post.
  3. LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Pinterest use the connect button on that same Social tab, or the connect button in AI Studio. You can disconnect an account there and connect it again.
  4. If the schedule posts an existing Highlight image, open Highlights and make sure the item you expect to rotate has an image.
  5. Open AI Studio, then Schedule auto posts, and confirm the weekdays, time, timezone, and platforms. The next send is that next scheduled time, not the one that already passed.
