TikTok: What Works and What Doesn’t
TikTok in Upsyte is for bringing videos onto your page and reading recent stats. It is not a way to publish or schedule onto the TikTok feed.
What Upsyte does with TikTok
- Connect TikTok from Analytics → Social, or from the connect button in AI Studio.
- View TikTok stats for the connected account, including recent views, likes, comments, and shares.
- Load up to 12 recent videos when TikTok grants video access (the video.list permission).
- Import those videos as drafts, then approve the ones you want on your Upsyte. Approved items become Highlights and are marked as coming from TikTok.
- Imported titles use a short first line, capped at 150 characters. The full caption is kept as the description when it is different from the title.
- Automatic import can run for a connected account that has video access.
- In AI Studio you can make portrait slides and download them to post on TikTok yourself.
What Upsyte does not do
- Upsyte does not post to your TikTok feed.
- Upsyte does not schedule posts to TikTok. Schedule auto posts supports Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Mastodon, and Pinterest only.
- TikTok is not a way to sign in to Cizeex.
- If video access was not granted, recent videos will not load. Reconnect TikTok and allow video access. The stats screen says this when video.list is missing.
- Original TikTok media stays on TikTok. Upsyte keeps the connection and import drafts that point at TikTok. A Highlight you approve is then stored as content on your Upsyte.
