WWE SummerSlam 2026 Is Here: Two Nights of Chaos in Minneapolis

The Biggest Party of the Summer has officially taken over Minnesota. WWE SummerSlam 2026 is underway as a two-night premium live event at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, running Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2. For the second straight year, the company is delivering a stadium-sized spectacle split across both nights, and the card is stacked with championship matches and high-stakes rivalries.

What Time Does SummerSlam 2026 Start?

Both nights kick off at 6:00 p.m. ET (5:00 p.m. CT / 3:00 p.m. PT). A free Countdown pre-show begins at 3:00 p.m. ET on WWE’s YouTube channel and ESPN platforms. In the United States the main event streams exclusively on the ESPN App with an ESPN Unlimited plan. International viewers can catch it on Netflix.

Each night is expected to run roughly three hours, putting the projected end times around 9:00 p.m. ET.

Night 1 Highlights: Punk vs. Rhodes and Hell in a Cell

Saturday’s main event sees newly crowned Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk defend against Cody Rhodes. The two longtime friends turn competitors for the top prize on the blue brand. Also on the card is a Hell in a Cell match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar, a rivalry that has grown more violent with every meeting.

Additional confirmed matches include Liv Morgan defending the Women’s World Championship against Iyo Sky, Gunther versus Nick Aldis, a six-man tag featuring The Bloodline against LA Knight, Royce Keys and Solo Sikoa, and a six-woman tag with the Bella Twins and Paige facing Fatal Influence.

Night 2: Reigns vs. Rollins Closes the Weekend

Sunday’s headliner puts World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns against Seth Rollins in a match years in the making between former Shield teammates. The rest of the Sunday card continues the high-stakes action that has defined this two-night format.

This is the first WWE stadium event held in Minneapolis and the first SummerSlam to stream on ESPN’s direct-to-consumer service in the U.S. The venue, home of the Minnesota Vikings, provides a massive stage for what WWE is billing as its second-biggest event of the year behind WrestleMania.
