In the fall of 2025, a routine food delivery in Oswego, New York, escalated into a national conversation about privacy, consent, and social media accountability. At the center is 23-year-old Olivia Henderson, a former DoorDash driver whose actions during one drop-off led to felony charges and intense public scrutiny.
Henderson arrived at a customer's home for a "leave at door" order. According to police reports and court documents, the male customer was passed out on his couch after drinking, partially undressed with intimate areas exposed. Investigators determined he was unconscious and there was no interaction or harassment.
Henderson recorded video through the front doorway and posted it on TikTok, where it quickly went viral. She claimed the customer had sexually harassed her. However, Ring camera footage reviewed by police contradicted key elements of her account, leading authorities to conclude no assault occurred.

In November 2025, Henderson was arrested and charged with unlawful surveillance in the second degree and dissemination of an unlawful surveillance image in the first degree. Each count is a Class E felony carrying up to four years in prison.
On May 1, 2026, a grand jury in Oswego County indicted her on these charges. Henderson appeared in Oswego County Court and pleaded not guilty through her attorney. She is scheduled to return to court in June. DoorDash deactivated her account, citing violations of privacy policies.
This case highlights the serious legal boundaries around recording individuals in private spaces without consent, even when delivering to a home.
The incident fueled widespread debate online about delivery worker safety, customer privacy rights, and the rapid spread of unverified claims on platforms like TikTok. Many have weighed in on the responsibilities gig workers face and the consequences of sharing private moments for views.
