Seahawks vs Patriots Rematch Headlines Super Bowl LX

Super Bowl LX, the championship game for the 2025 NFL season, is set for Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, home of the San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. ET, with the game airing live on NBC and streaming on Peacock. This marks a highly anticipated rematch of Super Bowl XLIX from 2015, where the New England Patriots defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in one of the most dramatic finishes in NFL history.

The Seattle Seahawks (NFC champions) and New England Patriots (AFC champions) punched their tickets after thrilling conference championship victories. The Seahawks advanced by defeating the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game, showcasing a strong defense and dynamic offense. The Patriots returned to the big stage for the first time since the Tom Brady era, overcoming the Denver Broncos in the AFC championship.

This matchup has fans buzzing due to the historical rivalry and the chance for Seattle to seek revenge from that infamous goal-line interception in Super Bowl XLIX. The Seahawks enter with one Super Bowl win in franchise history, a dominant 43-8 victory over the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII (2014 season). They have appeared in three Super Bowls overall, with a 1-2 record.
