Sarah J. Maas Unveils ACOTAR 6 and 7 Titles and Covers

The Wait Ends: Sarah J. Maas Unveils ACOTAR 6 and 7 Titles and Covers

Romantasy fans, the Night Court is calling again. After more than five years since A Court of Silver Flames, Sarah J. Maas has officially revealed the titles, covers, and details for the next two installments in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. The announcement dropped on August 17, 2026, via Instagram posts and digital billboards in major cities, sending the fandom into celebration mode.

A Court of Splintered Harmony Arrives First

Book 6 is titled A Court of Splintered Harmony. It releases on October 27, 2026, and carries the subtitle The Valkyrie Cycle: Movement I. The official tagline reads: “What was broken will be remade.”

The publisher synopsis confirms that Koschei the Deathless is stirring once more. Bound for millennia, his influence spreads across Fae territories as allies eye the human lands. The Night Court faces internal rifts from recent betrayals while Prythian still recovers from the Hybern War. Survival depends on repairing fractured alliances.

Then Comes A Court of Forgotten Melody

Book 7 follows closely on January 12, 2027, as A Court of Forgotten Melody, subtitled The Valkyrie Cycle: Movements II & III. Its tagline: “What was lost will be reclaimed.”

These two volumes form the opening of The Valkyrie Cycle, one continuous story told across four narrative parts. Maas has confirmed a third volume will complete the arc, though its title and release remain unannounced. Page counts list the first book at 352 pages and the second significantly longer.

Maas first shared the release dates in March 2026 during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast, explaining the long gap and the story’s expansive scale. The covers mark a striking visual shift, featuring bold gradients and symbolic imagery tied to the series’ darker mythic elements. Preorders are already live through major retailers.
