Project Hail Mary: A Sci-Fi Adventure

Project Hail Mary is a science fiction novel written by Andy Weir, the author of The Martian. The story follows Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship millions of miles from Earth with amnesia. As his memories return, he realizes he is on a desperate mission to save humanity from an existential threat: a mysterious substance called Astrophage that is dimming the Sun and threatening to cause a new ice age on Earth. Grace must use his scientific knowledge to solve problems in space, and he forms an unlikely alliance with an alien being named Rocky. The narrative blends hard science, humor, and high-stakes adventure.
