In this high-concept thriller directed by Baltasar Kormákur, Sasha finds herself hunted by a cunning predator played by Taron Egerton. The film's Australian outback setting amplifies the isolation and danger, blending raw athleticism with psychological suspense.

Star Power and Critical Buzz

Theron brings her signature intensity to the role, performing many physical feats herself. Egerton matches her energy as the relentless antagonist, with Eric Bana rounding out the cast in a key supporting part. The movie has climbed to the top of Netflix charts shortly after release, proving its broad appeal.

Why Apex Stands Out in 2026 Streaming

The film excels in its practical effects and location shooting, creating an immersive experience that feels both visceral and cinematic. Kormákur, known for films like Everest, brings authenticity to the high-altitude and wilderness sequences.
