Meta’s Muse Charm Puts a Pocket-Sized Body on Its AI Agent

Meta closed Meta Connect 2026 on September 23 with a surprise handheld: Muse Charm, a palm-sized companion for Muse, the personal AI agent the company launched earlier this month. CEO Mark Zuckerberg called it a keychain-ready way to talk to Muse without unlocking a phone or opening an app. Drop a comment with your first reaction, tap like if you would carry one, and subscribe for the next hardware briefing.

What Meta actually showed

Official wording is short. Meta’s Connect recap calls Muse Charm “a delightful and fun device built for you to talk and interact with your Muse,” packing “a state of the art real-time voice model into a device that fits in your pocket.” Zuckerberg said the company put the full Muse voice and avatar stack into something that can live on a keychain. A tap on the corner fingerprint sensor starts a conversation. The screen displays a customizable Muse character, the same kind of avatar Meta is rolling out as Muse Realtime Avatar.

The unit on stage looked like a chunky, strapless watch face with a lanyard. Zuckerberg said Meta has built only a few so far and still needs to finalize finishing materials and component layout. The company is targeting shipment in time for the December holidays. No official price or full spec sheet has been published.

What is confirmed, and what is still open

Muse itself is already live in the United States on iOS, Android, the web at muse.ai, and WhatsApp. Meta describes it as a personal agent that can work across connected apps, keep going after you close the chat, and ask for approval before sensitive steps such as sending mail or making a purchase. At Connect, Meta also said Muse is coming to AI glasses in the coming months and will get its own email address.

Some hardware details circulating after the event come from reporting, not Meta’s product page. Bloomberg-attributed coverage describes a roughly 2-inch OLED touchscreen, cameras meant mainly to give Muse visual context, speakers, microphones, 5G, and USB-C, with a price expected in smartwatch territory. Treat those as unconfirmed until Meta publishes them. Two Charm units recognizing each other nearby is also reported, not officially specified.
