Latest News: Malcolm in the Middle Revival Gets Official Trailer and Premiere Date

On December 29, 2025, Hulu dropped the first official teaser trailer for the highly anticipated revival miniseries Malcolm in the Middle: Life's Still Unfair, along with confirming the premiere date as April 10, 2026.

The four-episode limited series brings back most of the original cast nearly 20 years after the show's finale. Frankie Muniz returns as adult Malcolm, who has spent over a decade shielding himself and his daughter from his chaotic family. The story kicks off when Hal (Bryan Cranston) and Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) demand his presence at their 40th wedding anniversary party, pulling him back into the madness.

Also returning are Christopher Kennedy Masterson as Francis, Justin Berfield as Reese, and Emy Coligado as Piama. Erik Per Sullivan does not reprise Dewey, with the role recast to Caleb Ellsworth-Clark. New cast members include Keeley Karsten as Malcolm's daughter Leah, Kiana Madeira as his girlfriend Tristan, Vaughan Murrae as youngest sibling Kelly, and Anthony Timpano as Jamie.

The teaser features classic callbacks, including a nod to the iconic back-shaving scene, and Malcolm lamenting that his life is only fantastic because he's stayed away from his family. Hijinks quickly ensue at the anniversary celebration.
