NBC’s newest Monday-night drama arrived on September 21, 2026, and it wastes no time putting badges, blood ties, and buried secrets in the same room. Line of Fire follows the Hollingsworths, a Washington family whose members work across the Secret Service, U.S. Marshals Service, FBI, and Department of Justice. When a case that looks routine turns into a conspiracy, they have to protect one another even if it means breaking the code they swore to uphold.
Creator Joshua Safran (Quantico, Smash) built the series as a family story with procedural voltage. Executive producers include Jenna Bush Hager, whose own years growing up with Secret Service protection informed the world of the show. Peter Krause also serves as a producer.

Peter Krause plays Special Agent Mike Hollingsworth of the Secret Service, a veteran agent on the edge of retirement. Hope Davis stars as his wife, Deputy Marshal Jane Hollingsworth. They are separated when the series opens, still bound by history, children, and unfinished arguments.
Their adult children complete the household roster. Kat Cunning plays FBI Special Agent Clare Hollingsworth. Tommy O’Brien is Secret Service agent Mike “Micah” Hollingsworth Jr. Taylor Bloom portrays Russ Hollingsworth, a newly minted Department of Justice analyst. Charlie Barnett appears as Jack.
Guest stars already announced include Sam Waterston as former President Thomas Barnes, Chris Chalk as President Kayana, and Campbell Scott as U.S. Senator Terry, who is involved with Jane.
The official logline is direct: a family of agents bridges personal differences and crosses professional boundaries. After one case explodes into a deadly conspiracy, they must use everything they know to stay alive and find the killer.

Krause returns to series television after eight seasons as Captain Bobby Nash on 9-1-1. Davis brings decades of stage and screen work, including Succession, About Schmidt, and American Splendor. The younger ensemble was chosen specifically to feel like they belong with those two leads. Early interviews from the cast and producers describe the tone as suspenseful, occasionally funny, and rooted in the messy reality of people who protect strangers more easily than they protect each other.
New episodes air Mondays at 10/9c on NBC, with next-day streaming on Peacock. The second episode, “A Bigger Picture,” is scheduled for September 28.
