GTA 6: The Wait Is Almost Over For Rockstar's Next Masterpiece

Grand Theft Auto VI is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated video game releases in history. With Rockstar Games at the helm, expectations are sky-high for this open-world epic set in a reimagined Vice City.

Pre-Order and Launch Details

Mark your calendars: pre-orders open on June 25. This kicks off the final marketing phase with major excitement building across the community. Expect the biggest launch in Rockstar history as players prepare to dive into Vice City like never before.

Rockstar first teased GTA VI back in December 2023 with an explosive trailer that introduced protagonists Jason and Lucia. The duo navigates life in the neon-drenched streets of Vice City and the broader state of Leonida, where an easy score spirals into a sprawling criminal conspiracy.

Trailer 2, dropped on May 6, 2025, delivered stunning in-game footage captured on PlayStation 5. It highlighted equal parts gameplay and cutscenes, showcasing the vibrant world players will soon explore. Fans have been counting down ever since.

The latest confirmed release date stands at November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. This follows a delay from an earlier target to ensure the polish gamers expect from Rockstar. Pre-orders are set to begin on June 25, signaling the start of the final marketing push.

What Makes It Special

GTA VI promises massive scale, with dynamic environments, deep storytelling, and the signature blend of satire and action that defined predecessors like GTA V. Jason and Lucia's partnership adds fresh emotional layers, as they rely on each other amid chaos in America's sunniest criminal underworld.
